Thymalin 10mg research vial
Thymalin is a mix of small peptides taken from animal thymus glands; one 10mg vial is priced at 2,400,000 VND ($95 USD). The three Thymalin papers below link to PubMed, and its VND price was checked on 11 October 2026.
What is Thymalin?
Thymalin is not a single molecule. Later papers name two tiny peptides, KE (Lys-Glu) and EW (Glu-Trp), as its main active parts.
It comes from the same Russian research tradition as Epithalon and Vilon.
Good to know
Thymalin and Vilon are linked. KE is named as one of Thymalin's active parts, and KE is also all of Vilon.
Thymalin in cell work and one long report
- Cell study, 2020. Human blood stem cells were grown with Thymalin, and the team counted how many turned into T cells, a kind of immune cell.
- Cell study, 2022. Thymalin and four related peptides were tested on a human immune cell line, measuring growth and inflammation signals.
- Human study, 2002. A report from one St. Petersburg research group followed 266 older people for 6 to 8 years, with Thymalin or without, and recorded lung infections and deaths. How people ended up in each group is not reported.
A long record of Russian papers, few of them in English. Of 293 PubMed records, 254 are in Russian, and our search found no repeat of its human studies by outside groups.
How to read this
Thymalin is an extract, a mix of peptides from thymus glands, so studying it is harder than studying a single molecule. The two cell studies are recent and specific. The human report followed 266 older people for years, which sounds strong, but nobody reported how people were put into each group, and our search found no repeat by an outside team.
The Thymalin paper trail
The two cell studies ran in the Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine (2020) and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences in 2022. The 2002 report appeared in Advances in Gerontology. It comes from the Khavinson group, so it reads as their report rather than settled fact. A PubMed count found 293 Thymalin records: 254 are in Russian, and 100 list V. Khavinson or V. Morozov as an author.

Questions about Thymalin
What has research on Thymalin looked at?
Immune cells in the lab, and one long human report from a single Russian group; our search found no repeat by outside teams.
Is Thymalin one molecule?
No. Thymalin is a mix of small peptides taken from animal thymus glands. Later papers name two tiny peptides in it, KE and EW, as its main active parts. That mix makes Thymalin harder to study than a single molecule. KE is Lys-Glu, and EW is Glu-Trp.
What is Thymalin used for?
In research, Thymalin is studied as a thymus extract. Recent lab papers looked at blood stem cells and an immune cell line, and an older Russian report compared people given it with a group who were not. Almost all of it comes from one Russian research tradition.
