- Review, 2022. A drug profile covered the first approval of a tirzepatide medicine in the United States, in May 2022.
- Human trial, 2023. A phase 3 trial in 579 adults with obesity measured weight change over 72 weeks against a placebo. Everyone first went through a 12 week lifestyle program.
- Human trial, 2025. 731 adults with obesity and one type of heart failure were followed for about 2 years. In this type, the share of blood the heart pumps out with each beat stays normal. The trial counted worsening heart failure events and deaths from heart causes in each group.
- Human and mouse study, 2025. In mice and in adults with obesity, a study measured how the body uses energy during dieting. The usual slowdown in energy use during dieting did not change.
