SS-31 10mg research vial
SS-31, also called elamipretide, is a 4 amino acid peptide made in a lab; one 10mg vial costs 3,000,000 VND ($120 USD). On 11 October 2026 the SS-31 price was checked, and its four papers below each come with a PubMed link. Under the name elamipretide, SS-31 is the active part of a medicine that got an accelerated approval in the United States in 2025. The PubMed record below covers it. The SS-31 in this vial is not that medicine and has no approval for people.
What is SS-31?
SS-31 binds to cardiolipin, a fat on the inner wall of mitochondria, the cell's energy makers.
Two papers below are about Barth syndrome. It is a rare disease that runs in families and damages cardiolipin.
SS-31 in rare disease trials and reviews
- Review, 2025. A summary of animal work in the heart, brain, kidney and muscle, plus its human trials.
- Human trial, 2020. 30 adults with a mitochondrial muscle disease had it and a placebo in turn, a crossover design. The trial measured a walking test and tiredness scores, and found no clear gain in the walking test.
- Human trial, 2021. A phase 2/3 trial in 12 people with Barth syndrome. It began with a randomized, double-blind part where each person had SS-31 and a placebo in turn. Then came an open part with no placebo, which 10 people joined and 8 finished at 36 weeks. The main measures were a 6-minute walk test and a symptom scale. It also measured knee muscle strength, how people rated their own symptoms, and some heart measures. In the part with a placebo, neither main measure was met.
- Review, 2026. In 2025 the United States gave an accelerated approval to a medicine based on elamipretide, and this drug profile covers it. The approval is for Barth syndrome only.
Lots of animal research and a few small human trials in rare diseases. The medicine's approval covers one rare disease only.
How to read this
SS-31 shows how complex a real drug record can be. Animal studies cover many organs. The human trials are small and in rare diseases: 30 adults in a crossover trial, and 12 people with Barth syndrome, where the second part had no placebo group. An open part with no placebo cannot separate the compound from other causes. The 2025 approval is for a medicine, it covers one rare disease, Barth syndrome, and it should not be read more widely.

Where can I get SS-31 peptide?
You can order SS-31 10mg from this store through WhatsApp. The vial is a research compound, not the approved elamipretide medicine, which covers one rare inherited disease. Same-day delivery covers Ho Chi Minh City for orders sent by 7pm.
How much research names elamipretide?
PubMed held 362 records for elamipretide, the drug name of SS-31, when we searched it on 18 October 2026. Most human data come from small trials in rare inherited diseases, and the 2021 Barth syndrome trial had 12 people. In that trial's placebo-controlled part, neither main outcome was met.
